Getting Ready

Posted in India at 10:05 pm by Krissie

I’ve been getting ready to go to India! I leave on Thursday, and I’m very excited. Starting to get a little anxious too! I’ve written a post for every day while I’m gone so you guys will know what I’m up to, and how you can pray. When I log in, it tells me how many days til each of the posts is live. It’s my own little countdown. Lots to do before I leave though. So that’s it for now. I truly covet your prayers while I’m gone! Thanks!

Great Quote

Posted in Spiritual Matters, My own journey, Quotes at 5:43 pm by Krissie

I’m doing a Beth Moore study with my girls, and I loved this section of my reading. FYI, the study is on Daniel, and she’s referring to Daniel and his 3 friends.

“They learned the language, literature, and customs all right, but only so God could use them in the midst of it. They read the language of their culture with the lens of God. Thereby, they became culturally relevant without becoming spiritually irrelevant. Against all odds, they retained a God-centered worldview so that ultimately the world could view their God. Amazing.”

Great Quote, and something I hope I am able to do. Know and relate to the culture, but without loosing my view and grip on the things of God in the least, so that I might be used.

Wiffle Success!

Posted in India at 11:09 pm by Krissie

Well the Robins got off to a great start leading 6-0 in the first game, but unfortunately the Larks mustered up their game, and ended up beating us 15-9. A good time was had by all though! The Larks went on to win it all.

Overall the event was a great success. We were able to collectively raise over $1500 for our trips! What a blessing. Here is a link to several pics from the event.

I hope you all have something fun planned.

On a more serious note, do you ever look back at where you were a year ago, and think wow - I’m in such a different place.? That would be me recently, I’ve looked back when talking to a few people who knew me then and now, and just been encouraged at the work God has done in the past year in my life.? God is so good!? Yeah!
