The Queen of Random Pieces of Paper

Posted in Life, Confessions, Not so serious at 10:33 am by Krissie

I am the queen of random pieces of paper.  I currently have 8 random pieces of paper in my purse right now, and that is not counting what I have on my desk.  By random pieces of paper I mean I think of something, then I write it down on a random piece of paper.  This could be anything from journaling, to a ‘to do’ list, to a shopping list, to questions I need answered, or an idea, or a bible verse that came to mind.  They are on post it notes or notepads mostly, but sometimes napkins, the back of a receipt or envelope, you know whatever is handy.  Sometimes I’ll even open a txt file on the computer and write away, or more recently google docs have become my friend.  When something is on my mind, I just need to write it down, so I’ll use whatever is around, however this makes it difficult as then I don’t have any kind of formal journal.  I also rarely think to date the paper, so years later I’ll find something, and have no idea when it was written or what I was referring to.

This bothers me slightly, as I like being able to go back and read over my former life.  Maybe I just need to get in the habit of carrying a journal with me everywhere, and using it for everything.  Hmm, don’t know that it will happen, but it’s a nice thought.  For the time being, I’ll probably continue to use random pieces of paper.

How do you journal?

I’m back

Posted in India at 6:16 pm by Krissie

Sorry, it’s taken me a bit to get a post up since returning.  I am home, safe and sound.  And have been since Monday at 11:25.  My brother and his family greeted me at the airport and promptly took me to eat Mexican!

I have been recovering from jet lag and battling a head cold for most of this past week, but am finally feeling up to par again.

The trip was AMAZING!  I can’t even begin to tell you what an incredible experience it was.  Such great people, such an awesome God.  I should be posting some pics soon.  I’ll let you know when I do.

Thanks again so much for you prayers while I was away!  Much appreciated!

India Trip Prayer Guide Day 9

Posted in India at 10:00 am by Krissie

Today we will continue to help with village ministry, we will also be doing a mini-VBS with the children at Light of Love.  We have activities that integrate the story of creation, the 7 continents, and the salvation message.  We will also help serve dinner.

Pray that despite a language difference we would be able to effectively communicate the gospel.

Pray that children will accept Christ into their lives

Pray that God would be shaping our hearts as we serve, and drawing each of us closer to Him during this time.
