I’m very excited cause I’m going to visit my Frica (aka Erica) who I haven’t seen in 4 1/2 years! I leave tomorrow. She lives in North Carolina now, and we are going to make a beach trip. She’s also going to make me her great lasagna, and we are going to relive college with a roll of sugar cookie dough, and cream cheese icing! I can’t wait!
Ok, so my friend Steve posted this Career Matchmaking thing, and I decided to take it. Here are the top 10 jobs it said I should consider.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. ” ~Philippians 4:6-7
Do you ever do something with a surface level (good) motivation. You convince yourself and others that this is THE reason. When really there is something much deeper (and usually ugly) that’s driving you. I do that sometimes. It’s not pretty.
I’m feeling rather convicted about having recently done that.
Motivations are tricky things.
Funny Thing #1:
I saw a mullet in the elevator this morning as I was leaving for work. He was clearly ready for work, as he had it pulled back into a pony tail, and had a blue tooth earpiece in ready to take a call.
Funny Thing #2:
When I was a kid, I remember ‘mastering’ the ability to make the phone ringing sound. I was really good at it… I stood in a closet with a friend or one of my brothers (don’t remember for sure which) and we started ‘ringing’ - my dad came in the room, and answered the phone. We died laughing - we were sure we had really fooled him. I’m sure he wasn’t playing along with us or anything like that. We were just that believable. ;)
