In this season of my life I live in Kansas City, and am a graphic designer for a small company called Honeystreet. I love life, and I love what I do. After 32 years of waiting, I married an incredible man named Travis in 2010. You’ll find a lot of my posts were written during my single years, and I still have a heart for those in that life stage.
I split my work time between my home studio (or as my husband will more honestly tell you, the big brown chair in our living room) and a Honeystreet office space. In my opinion it is the best of both worlds. I get to be at home with my little girl regularly, put her down for naps, feed her lunch, etc. while also not having to give up my career and getting enough time out of the house to have adult interaction. It’s a blessing that God has given me this work arrangement at this point in my life, I couldn’t have planned it better if I tried, really… so we’ll just give credit where credit is due.
As a designer I thoroughly enjoy creativity, but more than creativity, I value my relationship with Christ – it’s what’s held me together through all the parts of my story that I won’t publish on the web. I believe that according to Romans 8:38 (my life verse), that God works all things together for the good of those who love him, and are called according to his purpose, and am always happy to share my life when it can be used for His glory!
Hope you find something of value here.
