Lack of Sleep and the Morning Routine

I have been walking around in a daze lately. I’ve been getting the worst sleep, and the night that I just gave in and took some tylenol PM was the most restless of them all! This morning I pulled up to an intersection on my way to work. The exact same intersection that I pull up to everyday on my way to work, and I found myself going – where am I, and how did I get here? Once I got it figured out, which really shouldn’t have been as hard as it was, I realized that I was supposed to be in the left turn lane, which I was not. You know it’s bad when you miss a turn on your way to work! And the weird thing is, I NEVER go straight at that intersection, so it’s not like I was just on autopilot to somewhere else.

Just for funzzies, I thought I’d share my typical morning routine, at least on Tuesday thru Friday, this is typical. The alarm goes off and I snooze it for about half an hour, at least. Now I must confess, I put my alarm clock across the room so that I have to physically get out of bed to hit snooze. This was done in an effort to make myself get up when the alarm goes off, clearly it’s not working, but I’ve left it across the room anyway. I do finally drag myself out of bed, and get ready. On the way out the door, I grab a handy dandy single serve, chocolate soy milk out of the fridge. I drink that on my way in, and then when I get to work, I sit down log onto my computer, and check my email. Fix myself a cup of hot tea – Good Earth Original Caffinee Free. (If you’ve never had it, you need to try it – it’s so yummy and cinnamonny). I then open my internet browser, Firefox, and click on my blogs folder, and select open in tabs. That is one thing I love about Firefox as opposed to Internet Explorer, instead of having all of these windows open, you can open several sites in different tabs, but only one window.

So that’s that. That’s my morning, after that it’s just work, and pretty uneventful.
