Whirlwind

Whirlwind

The last few days have been a total whirlwind.  I just keep going, and going, so I thought I’d recap them for you.

Friday: After work,

I headed to store #1 to do some Christmas shopping (bought presents for Esther, Micah & Luke)

Met my bro and SIL at their house, and went to dinner with them and kids by way of a light display.

After dinner I was back at the Christmas shopping, hit store #2, 3, & 4. Scoped a present for Michelle, bought myself some sweaters, and successfully acquired presents for my Dad and Lynn.

Saturday:

Got up, did a few things around the house, and left the house at 10am!

Mailed a few more Christmas cards.

Went back to store #2, and purchased some baking supplies for myself.

Went back to store #3, and found a sweater in a better size, but had to put it on hold, as I didn’t have the original sweater to exchange.

Went to stores #5, 6 & 7. Got gifts for my small group, and groceries/baking supplies, and some much needed socks for myself.

Stopped by my apartment, dropped some things off, picked other things up.

Went to Melissa’s – it’s 2pm now. Ate a quick lunch, and began making 7 batches of various cookies as well as entertaining a 3 month old, and cleaning up after ourselves as we went.

Around 8:30pm, headed out to dinner with Jason, Melissa, and Avery.

10pm ish went back to store #3 and exchanged sweater

Went home and collapsed in bed.

Sunday:

Woke up and wrapped 2 presents, got ready, went to church.

Came home, wrapped a few more presents.

Went out with SIL, Erin to do more Christmas shopping for the niece and nephew.  Went to stores #8, 6, 9, 10, and 11.  Got all the chilluns gifts, exchanged an item I got a while back, bought a hair product, and gift tags – actually punched tags at archivers.

Went to dinner with Erin, then home to prep for the week.

Finished wrapping all 19 presents.

packaged up all of the cookies in bags for people.

Wrote out cards for my small group girls.

Cleaned my humidifier.

Did a whole slew of dishes.

Cleaned my apartment to be ready for my small group party.

2 loads of laundry.

Got my seriously neglected finances in order, so I actually know how much money is in the bank.

Didn’t get in bed until after midnight.

Monday:

Woke up, unloaded the dishwasher, and folded/put away a load of laundry.

Got ready for work.

Worked.

Went to target for lunch, cause I needed trash bags, you can’t really have people at your place without trash bags.

Worked some more.

About 3:30, got a call about a (web based) project that needed to be put on DVD by 9:30am Tuesday.

Started editing.

Left work at 5:30ish with the computer rendering.

Dropped off dry cleaning.

Went home, made some soup for the small group party.

Had a great time with my small group girls.

Cleaned up after the party.

Got back in my car, went to the pharmacy to pick up a script, then back to the office.

Which is where I am now.  I’m waiting on the video to export, which is why I have time to even type this.  I’m having some audio issues now, so I’m having to mess with it.  Hopefully I’ll be out a here by midnight, but I’m not so sure.

The rest of the week is gonna be just as crazy.  Is it weird, that as crazy as it’s been, I’ve actually loved every minute of it!?

I’m looking forward to our company Christmas party tomorrow night.  We are going to Fork & Screen – the new dinner/theater at AMC 30 in Olathe, and we are going to see Four Christmases, then to Cheesecake Factory for dessert. yum! I’m also looking forward to vocal rehearsal for our Christmas services on Thursday night.  I’m so excited that my dad and my step-mom are getting into town that night too, and that we’ll be celebrating Christmas with them on Saturday.  I’m most definitely looking forward to being at every last one of our Christmas services at Westside.

I’ll actually be a little sad when all of the craziness is over.  Well, that is after I catch up on some sleep.
